Out and about

My little bumble bees at the beach outside Grandma Christ's work.
Well it's been quite some time since our last post and we've been busy as always but having a great time. To sum up the past two or so months we've had a visitor and come back to the states for a whirlwind of a trip.

For starters, Craig's brother came out to visit us in Okinawa for a week. We had a great time snorkeling, golfing, biking and touring Okinawa. The girls loved having Uncle Doug visit and when he left Kamea kept saying "Doug fly" anytime we asked where he was and if she saw a plane fly over it was always Doug.

Not too long after Doug left we were headed back to the states! We ended up leaving a couple days earlier than planned to avoid an incoming typhoon, which didn't end up being an issue but we're glad we got out when we did instead of risking it being stuck in Okinawa and missing our flight.

We started our trip in Michigan visiting my family for a super fast two days then we were headed down to Alabama for my friend Mark's wedding. After that we went to California, north of San Francisco, to visit my roommate from school, Shelley, and her family then it was off to Santa Barbara for our last stop.

The girls taking a break from dancing at the wedding.

We have a couple days left in Santa Barbara but have had a wonderful time so far visiting family and friends. Craig's sister was even able to take time off from medical school and is out visiting, yay! we went to the zoo today and joined Craig's brother and his wife for an intense morning pilates class, ouch!

Trying to get a family picture at the wedding, Kamea didn't want to join.
The girls have been amazing travelers through it all, so many plane rides and a different house almost every three nights! They caught a little cold on our way to the states so that on top of flipping their schedules with the huge time zone change made the first few nights rough but they're doing great now.

Kamea is talking so much now, repeating everything we say and now she can point out most of the letters in the alphabet on signs or stuff along with some numbers. Laila is a little walker now, she went from not wanting to walk at all to just getting up and going this past week.

Sorry for the long delay in updating everyone, we've been having such a great time these past few months in between being busy at work that I've let the blogging slip. I'll try to update much sooner next time!
